Harmonic Filter Reactors and Drives

Today’s world is in increasing usage of automation almost all manufacturing and servicing fields and this change caused the need of using semi -conductors in the controlling circuits. The main feature of semi-conductors is changing the sinus wave form of the current into non-sinus  alternative waves .

The wave with main frequency is called the main wave and the other waves are called Harmonics.

Applications:

Using the suitable Harmonic Filter Reactor in series with the qty. of the necessary capacitors will avoid over current and the related complications of its negative effects.

Considering that the capacitor’s impedance is in opposite value with the wave’s frequency, then a higher current will pass through it and the life time of capacitor will be shortened.

Using a Reactor in series with the capacitor solve the mentioned problem as a harmonic filter.
